Hi! I’m Jadyn, a third-year Computer Science student with a minor in Mathematics. For this project, I served as the editor, offering a fresh perspective and ensuring that our datasets and visualizations align clearly with our narrative and critiques. My goal was to help ensure that our message effectively conveys the funding inequalities that exist across the country and highlight their causes and effects. My favorite class that I have taken here at UCLA is Algorithms and Time Complexity.

Hi! My name is Sarah, and I am a 4th year, majoring in Cognitive Science with Specialization in Computing. In this project, I have worked on analyzing the data and readings as well as collecting the data regarding education program funding. My favorite class in UCLA would have to be Musicology 68 on the Beatles!

Project Manager/Data Visualization Specialist
My name is Sophia, and I am a 3rd year, majoring in Anthropology with a minor in Digital Humanities. For this project, I served as the team’s Project Manager, where I was responsible for ensuring our narrative stayed cohesive with our data and research. I also served as Data Visualization Specialist, I focused on using Tableau to transform our dataset into clear and interpretable visual representations.My favorite class I’ve taken at UCLA has been ANTHRO 133: Anthropology of Food!

My name is Megan, and I am a fourth-year student double majoring in Statistics and Data Science and Cognitive Science with a specialization in Computing. For this project, I served as the team’s data specialist, where I was responsible for cleaning, structuring, and aggregating the dataset. My favorite class I’ve taken at UCLA is EPS SCI 17: Dinosaurs and Their Relatives.

I’m Lavender, a 2nd year Computer Science major with a tech breadth in Tech Management and a sci-tech in Technology & Society!! In this project, I worked as the data visualizations specialist so I helped create and analyze charts in Tableau. I also helped proofread and edit the narrative and project structure. My favorite class I’ve taken here at UCLA was COMM 151: Computer-Mediated Communication!

Hi, I’m Sanaa and I am a 3rd year Design Media Arts major minoring in Digital Humanities. For this project, I was responsible for web design, overseeing the design and structure of our website. My favorite class I’ve taken here at UCLA was Art History 185: Soundscapes of Early Modern World.
